Klopp to Renew Liverpool Contract
There was a collective sigh heaved at Anfield after Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp made it known that he was open to extending his contract.
With two years left on his current contract, the 54-year-old German tactician was tight-lipped on his future plans, but he had previously mentioned in passing that he would be leaving the Reds when his contract expires in 2024, leaving management sweating.
However, Klopp has made it known that he is open to new talks about the terms and conditions of a renewal, which would see him stay at Anfield and guide the team until 2026.
In his seven years at the club, he has helped add five pieces of silverware to Liverpool’s trophy cabinet.
Liverpool have added the Carabao Cup to their silverware; are in second place on the English Premier League table; will be in the Football Association Cup final on 14 May; and are looking in prime form to make a grab for the UEFA Champions League title next month.
